::maple ranking system::

Maple introduced the individual ranking system with the new patch on the 22nd. Here are some screenshots:

Ariane=mine, veldt is there for kyl's browsing pleasure.
Looking at the ranking of both of them, I have no idea how the ranking system works. What does total ranking refer to? Ranking throughtout the 3 worlds? But then it doesn't make sense cos at 60, veldt should be ranked higher [means veldt's ranking should be <4364] than ariane!!!!
Someone please enlighten me!!!

[Edit] Maple added a new quest at maple island that gives you a chair to recover hp at 50 per 10s!!!!! Sadly, the item can't be traded or transfered!!!! Not fair!!!!! I can't find the screenshot!!!!
