Today my supervisor treated me and 2 other colleagues lunch at Crystal Jade Kitchen. I still don't like the noodles there. The soup is so salty!! The noodles too tough for my teeth. But the prawn dumpling is really good. Fresh and succulent. Nice. Great egg tarts as well. Overall a satisfying lunch. Only I felt like an extra most of the time because the 2 women kept talking to each other and I felt it was rude to interrupt. The uncle was kind of embarrassed about the treat. Or should I say he was tooooo polite. Until it felt unnatural. For example, I was eating the egg tarts and my supervisor asked me if it tasted good. I said yes and she asked him to try. She was like saying try it, it's good. Then he was like huh? what's good u say? Then she said the egg tarts, try it! The he finally took one. !!! I knew he was bluffing when he 'was like huh? what's good u say?' because his expression was totally fake. He was already eyeing the food!!! Oh well, maybe he just felt he should be polite but I felt he overdid it even though his intension was good.
If all goes well [w/o OT and the buses all come on time] I can probably level up tomorrow!!!
