This is what happens when I refuse to wake up when the alarm clock rings. I had to pay extra $4.80 for the taxi fare. The thing was that I had to be in school by 0830 yesterday morning. I set the alarm to ring at 0630 but I was too tired and refused to wake. Therefore I woke up only at 0750, and was I shocked!! But I managed to reach school at 0820 anyway. We had to do newspaper collection and it was extremely tedious and tiring because the blocks my group covered was really long and with many lifts. The block was divided into 3 sections that were not at all connected unless you went to the common corridors. Spent the most time on that block. We started off at 0845 and ended only at 1400. We could have left earlier if not for waiting for the truck to come. Anyway, my legs are aching today because of yesterday, which was quite surprising because I didn't have muscle aches even after running 2.6km last Thursday. Talking about the run, today we ran 3km. I realised that my stamina have improved quite a bit because the climb up the slope wasn't so taxing anymore. I suppose my timing was between 18-19 minutes. Oh yeah, we did the Chemistry practical on esters today. The ester totally stank, even though it was supposed to be sweet smelling and the phenol caused several injuries. It seemed more acidic than the mineral acids even though it's not. The school provided us with lousy plastic gloves [instead of the rubber ones my teacher promised]. Apparently, MOE has got no regard for our safety. My partner and I tried to smuggle out the ester but I was caught by the teacher even though I tried to bluff her that the suspicious looking packet wasn't the ester. She eventually found out that my friend had it as well and forced us to give it up. Oh well, anyway it stinks.
