::BYE BYE 2004!!!::
kyl, if you happen to see this, please accept my invitation to you for Gmail. I sent it to your Yahoo mail. Thanks! =)
-----------------------------------------------------------
Back to the topic. Today marks the end of 2004. AWWW. Anyway, this has been an exciting year for many people. So many things happened [bad things more than good things as usual]. But maybe it's because no one remembers the good things that happened that why. I did not get my money reward this year after getting it for 5 years in a row. Which is why am I going to be broke soon and I am extremely unhappy. I spent lots of money. More than what I spent for the last few years. At least $700 for satisfying my wants. This may seem little to some of you out that who have truckloads of money, but not me!!! Now my miserable bank account has only $1700 left. Argh. My results are terrible. Got the worst timetable and I spent my PE lessons really miserably. Will never forget the miserable 100m race. What a DISGRACE!!!!!! Maybe only one lesson was beneficial [this elective programme that I went to]. My friends are drifting away one by one. And the list goes on! The bad things! All the bad things. Why can't I remember any good things? Okay, I got the iPod and phone that I wanted. But the new iPod [and much cheaper] came out a few months later!! What is this? I still got really great people around me. My class gave me a bag on my birthday. I ate quite a lot of nice food, went to nice restuarants [and spent lots of money]. My friends celebrated my birthday for me! I went to do CIP in the library. Watched quite a bit of movies and really interesting shows. GOT PROMOTED. Bought the cds, vcds and dvds [well, not really] that I wanted. I got to skip CO quite a number of times due to my dental appointments. The plucking out teeth part wasn't that painful after all. My teeth looks much straighter after 2 months of having the braces. Gave birthday presents to all my close friends. Had a great time in MJ during my first 3 months there. My Math and Physics improved by 20 marks. I went for tuition willingly. My GP wasn't so bad after all. Project work finally ended [....]. Did well for my Os. Got new clothes. Got a Gmail account. Got a digital camera for the family. AND MY SPIDERMAN 2 POSTER!!! WAHAHAHAHA!!!! FRAMED!!!!
----------------------------------------------------------
So what am I trying to say? We should all learn to cherish the better things in life. [Yeah, duh.] Anyway, I am telling myself right now that I should not wallow in past misfortunes. Learn to pick myself up from a fall. Don't make unnecessary [and irritating] noises. Make my own decisions. Don't be such a coward. Learn how to be more optimistic. Say "I can do it!" when faced with challenging problems. Try not to be so easily influenced by others. DON'T BE A WEAKLING ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------
New Year Resolutions:
1. Save $20 every week
2. Study really hard for my A levels
3. Do homework the first thing I reach home.
4. Exercise at least 3 times a week [I want to pass my broadjump!!!!]
5. Watch at most 2 movies a month
6. Sleep earlier.
7. Be more optimistic!!!
8. Say 'Hi!' to the classmates every weekday morning.
9. Find a job after my A levels
I guess that is about all. Too much is also no good.

walking proud- ayumi hamasaki
My lips told a lie
For a trivial reason
I suppose it was for no one else
But only to protect me
When I was thoughtless
When I noticed, I was trapped and at a loss
Surrounded by countless lies
The sky I looked up at was beautiful
I thought of you
I wished I could walk with firm steps
Facing forward like you
But I escaped from the reality
Escaped from all the pain
I said to myself
"I'll be my ideal self some day
Though I'm far from that now"
After such excuses, my eyes were opened
What I could do was only to live in the present time
Does this voice reach you?
Does it ring in your heart?
I'm walking on today
Looking at your back as a guidepost to live

::concert::
My sister was such a dissapointment. She don't dare to acknowledge me in front of her friend!!! HUMPH!!! This was what happened:
Friend: Hey XY!
Sister: Eh, hi!
Friend + Sister: Blah, blah, blah
Friend: You come alone ah?
Sister: Err, yeah!
And there was I sitting right BESIDE her. I was playing with her phone. Almost wanted to hammer her on the spot.
Anyway, I saw many people. Many of whom I knew but I don't know if they saw/remembered me or not. We changed seats many times, much to my frustration. When we entered the 1st time and saw quite few persons, we left. My sister cut between this group of talking people and I fellowed her. Thought I saw someone I knew. But I felt I was quite rude in doing that. When we were walking home, I lectured her about this and she said she didn't see them. Okay. Just hope they were not people I knew and vice versa. The concert was not very entertaining during the 1st half. The pieces sounded so dead and boring and.. yeah, boring. Somehow couldn't really soak in the musical atmosphere. Also, there was this group of guys in front of us who were really irritating, making stupid remarks and silly noises. And there's this group of giggling girls behind us. It was as though they couldn't stop laughing at nothing at all. And there was this group of audience who clapped at the wrong times. Right in the middle when the band was playing. I thought that would be really distracting and rude. And there was also this group of people of were late. It always happens anyway. Ok, that's about all for the complaints. The last song was really nice. The encore piece was cute. That is all.

BBC NEWS | World | Asia-Pacific | Asia battles earthquake aftermath
BBC NEWS World Asia-Pacific Asia battles earthquake aftermath
-----------------------------------------------------
If M did not tell me about the quake and the tsunami, I won't even know that it happened. Please take a few moments pray for those that have died in this natural disaster. Thousands have been killed in Asia in sea surges triggered by the world's strongest earthquake for 40 years. I am thankful that I live in Singapore, that is so sheltered by her neighbours. I really shouldn't say that something pisses me off everyday.
::brackish::
\BRAK-ish\, adjective:1. Somewhat salty.2. Distasteful; unpalatable.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
YAY!!! No CO tomorrow!!! Let me think where shall I study. Maybe in the library? Actually I don't really like the place. They have this rather stupid concept of studying hours. Well, not exactly a dumb idea. Maybe dumb for students good for the library goers. Watch Phantom of the Opera yesterday. I can't remember how many times I cried because of the beautiful music. But M.Saint [thou shall call her M from now onwards] said she saw many people leaving during the middle of the show. Anyway, I got the soundtrack and am rather proud of it. And I must really say that everyday, there's always something that really piss me off. What happened yesterday was that while I was at Cineleisure [I just hate that place, now for another reason] walking around aimlessly, some old cleaner lady mopped my feet with her gross, dirty mop. And I said sorry. But that ungrateful wretch actually scolded me in some sort of langauge I did understand. M said that she said that I didn't see the yellow cleaning sign board like 5 meters in front of me. So implying that it was my fault that I obstructed her. Like HELLO!! Whose feet got mopped? [Okay, I should relax like what my friends always tell me to.] Anyway, I was surprised when I saw so many people I know at Orchard yesterday. There's Celine [was shocked that she actually called my name and said hi!.], Ee Ling [who saw me and called me and called me 师傅(父?) by mistake. Should be 太师啦. Haha.], 2 persons from my class.. that's all. Well, not actually a lot, but usually I don't see so many of them. And today I saw Kelly and Chong Heng and this idiot. Urgh. Did physics today eventually at M's house. We ended up looking at the yearbook for 15 minutes. Realised some people really transformed over the years. It's kind of scary. So what pissed me off today? Actually I can't remember already. [Gaffaws.]

::cornucopia::
\kor-nuh-KOH-pee-uh; -nyuh-\, noun:1. The horn of plenty, from which fruits and flowers are represented as issuing. It is an emblem of abundance.2. An overflowing supply; an abundance.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
My legs are aching like crazy!!!!! Oh my goodness. I should have known better than to go to Orchard Road today! It was so terribly crowded. We were packed like sardines and people were spraying fake snow [soap] all over the place. Some of it ended up on my face and it kind of irritates my skin. I hate the crowd. It gives me headaches. I think the last time I got trapped in the sea of people was during my trip to London. Never experienced that anymore because I never bothered to celebrate Christmas, go to Chinatown during Chinese New Year or any other crowded places for that matter. Watched Polar Express [finally!]. I really want to believe that Santa exists for me and that now at 0000, he is giving out the first gift of Christmas at the North Pole, with all the elves and the chosen few children. I just hope it exists. Too bad Santa's just another instrument to stimulate sales nowadays. I want to believe, you know?! Okay, we wanted to go take a look at the Top Of the M restaurant at Mandarin Hotel. Got up to the 38th floor with much difficulty. But I didn't dare to go up to the 39th floor where it is located. Anyway, when we finally got up there, the host stared at us blankly. And I stared back blankly. Finally I croaked 'table for three please' then he finally managed to say 'do you have a reservation?' well, I said 'no' then he said 'oh, I'm afraid we are fully booked for the night'. Ok, so I felt kind of embarassed and left with my friends. But the thing was that, he should be the one to say something first, not [for heaven's sake] ME!!!!! But I am determined to dine there one day anyway. We walked around Orchard looking for a place to eat. Found one with much difficulty. Ok, so after dinner, we went around Orchard again. It was damn packed already. Managed to buy a Santa hat. Wore it around the whole place. Costs me a bloody $5. Saw my friend. Not sure if that fellow saw me. There was this countdown thing going on. Not interested. Wanted to watch Phantom of the Opera. No good timings. We missed the show by 15minutes. So we walked around aimlessly again. Finally decided to go home. So here I am now. Too tired to even type a complete sentence. And erm, girls, I have just uploaded the photos into photobucket. So if you want them, please tag so I can give you the password.

Please use Unicode if you want to see the funny looking words at the bottom of the window. If not, then forget it. Right click is disabled so you need to go to View>Encoding>Unicode to change the encoding. I don't know how to enable right click.

My brother finally got his school posting yesterday and so he is going to his new school today to get the textbooks and other stuff. I actually wanted to go with him. Well, wanted to see how his school looks like and whether it's run efficiently or not. He wanted me to accompany him. Guess he's scared or something. Normal reaction. But when I was going to TJ, I didn't feel scared. Sort of like hoping for change. Perhaps I will meet nice people? Perhaps my life would be better there. After all, it's a better school. But after the 1st few hours of orientation, I already felt like a pile of shit. Hated that place. Didn't really like the people who seemed to hate me as well. Everything was inefficient and the teachers all appeared cold and distant. So unlike MJ. Back to the point. My Mom didn't want me to go. Need me at home to turn of the fire. So in the end I did not go with them. Feel kind of bad though. [I know he's supposed to be my most hated person but it's kind of like on and off. When he pisses me off, then yeah.] Next time I am going to teach him how to recognise those 'bad boys' in school. Strangely, they all look the same. Stuck in some sort of pattern. Anyway, as I am typing this, I am also trying to clean up the mess that I have caused. I spilled milk all over my keyboard. This is like the 3rd time? I mean, I never meant for it to happen but it just happens. The snoopy toy was falling off the table so I was trying to catch it and while doing so, the cup of milk in my other hand splashed all over the place. Bloody hell. But thanks to the experience I have now in cleaning up wet keyboards, everything LOOKS dry now. Hopefully it doesn't short-circuit. I don't know if I am feeling things, but the Shift key and the area around it is kind of cold. The cold milk perhaps? I just wonder if I do type a lot of crap here.

I am very happy today!!! Finally I bought Ayumi Hamasaki's new album!! YAY!!!! YAY!!! Luckily I didn't get my friend to get it for me or else I will need to pay her $60 instead of the $22 that I paid for the album.
::nothing much::
Just realised that I changed my layout 3 times this month already. And very soon, I am going to change it to another new layout. But I realised that my friends seem to have no interest in changing layouts.

::unfinished::
And I have so much to say again. Finally I laminated something I wanted to laminate long ago! It actually costs me $1.90 to get it done. Well anyway, I watched Ocean's Twelve yesterday. It wasn't really as nice as I expected it to be. In fact, I was quite disappointed by it. Not the nicest movie by my standards. And I find that there isn't much meaning in that show. Full of humor that I couldn't really get. But the [SPOILER ALERT!]
Julia Roberts part was funny. And I liked the way the Egg was stolen by that thief. Yoga! Was that Yoga anyway? And I liked Matt Damon's role in the movie. My brother went to watch the show with his fellow 12 year old friends today. I asked him if he understood. He said he didn't understand what exactly was going on. So I suppose that would be a good enough warning? There's CO practise today. It went rather bad. Got grumbled and nagged at as usual. But something unusual happened. The conductor told my SL to tell my friend and I that we need not perform any more for the competition in May. Give our parts to the newcomers. Okay. So I am finally out. I knew that was coming. I actually hoped for that. But then, I would be lying if I said I wasn't upset at all. I was kind of pissed and disappointed because after all, we went for the practises and got scolded each and every time. And I wouldn't say that we didn't improve. Oh well. At least we would get the CCA points for the SYF competition since we would be helpers. So what do we do now? I feel kind of redundant to be there since I would not be doing anything during the times when they practise for the competition. My SL told me that we would be performing during the concert. But I kind of feel that eventually, I would be kicked out of it. Now THAT would truly be really sad. Anyway, I have decided that CO and music is not for me. Appreciating it is another thing though. I told my Mom that I have decided to join Chinese Calligraphy [social suicide? I think I have already died more than once] once I get into University. Or maybe I can join those volunteer groups. At least it will be a more meaningful and less stressful stint. Oh yeah, I almost forgot this. Everytime I called up HMV to enquire about Ayumi Hamasaki's new album, no one would answer the phone. I don't even get redirected. Now what on earth is going on? Is everyone skiving on their bloody job??! And I can't wait any longer for Ayumi's album to be released in Singapore. Hopefully I will see it in stores tomorrow.

::grace::
I was out the whole day today. Real tiring, yet I am still up at this time of the night, doing this sort of thing. [Like what? Smuggling drugs?] Well, anyway, I went to Pasir Ris this morning to collect my tickets to MJ's band concert on the 28th. I supposed nobody would want to go with me to such events except my sister. So I took the bus 15 to Tampines. I was supposed to stop outside the MRT station but my dysfunctional brain forced me to alight one stop before the actual stop. So I had to walk a really long way before reaching the Tampines train station. And that really drove me mad. So I was huffing and puffing my way to the station and in the end, I was 5 minutes late when I could be on time [which is really rare nowadays]. I got off the train at the next stop and collected the tickets, got on the SAME train and alighted at Tampines, taking bus 15 to Parkway. And the silly thing about this journey was that I behaved totally like an idiot, walking all the long cuts [if there's such a thing] and crossing all the pedestrain crossings when I could have avoided them. You know how irritating they are. They make you wait forever even when there are no vehicles on the road. I don't usually jay-walk you know. Went to Starbucks to do my Math homework. There were really very few people around. At 11+ in the morning, only 4 customers were in the cafe. [Which includes my friend, 2 girls and me]. But there were 5 persons at the counter. Kind of unproportionate. So I was telling my friend that those people could serve us one to one. [Stupid I know.] And when we left, I told her to leave our cups on the tables so they could have something to do. And so we did. Left that place, and went for tuition... at 1+pm. Too early. So I continued on my stupid Math homework. And by the way, all along I was holding a big piece of rock [?] on my hands when I walk here and there. But the good thing was that I managed to finish my Math homework today. I had Math tuition, which means I did Math for the whole day. I am saturated with integrals and trigo formula!!! Too tired to continue.. but kyl, you know how stupid I was after Math [especially in MPH - I didn't mean to do that to the pillow!].

::come what may!::
Watch Moulin Rouge yesterday. I recorded it ages ago, and finally I got myself to watch it. And viola! It was brilliant! Wonderful! Totally entertaining. And now I am simply addicted to that song.

::it's been so long::
Well, I have not been blogging for so many days already [as I always say] so now here I am, back again. It had been a fairly busy weekend, with relatives getting married and stuff like that. And the wedding dinner, this time we were too early. We reached there at around 7.10pm but the dinner only started at 8.45pm. It was supposed to start at 7.30pm!! But the food this time was better than last week's, even though last week's was presumably held in a more renowned restaurant. So what does this say about restaurants? Anyway, after the whole dinner was over, our cousin fetched us home. So we were either chatting loudly or sleeping in the car. And our cousin apparantly did not know the way to our house, only a vague idea of how to get there. So we hopped on to the PIE and he exited at the Bedok Exit [which is wrong, should be the Eunos Exit] and I did not tell him that even though I saw it. Which I why people say [some people for that matter] the world is evil not because of evil people, but people who see others doing bad things and not interfering. What am I talking about? So we went round and round, but eventually I lead the way and told him how he should drive. So we got home. And I finally watched National Treasure!! Yay!!! Really nice!!

::new layout::
New pictures on my blog! Finally something I created after so long of doing nothing. Looks kind of plain though. Note: I still followed the original 'layout' of the navigation bar.
::note2::
Why is it that
almost all webmasters appear to be impatient, quick to anger and are not exactly very thankful that they have visitors? I was never like that. My friends were never like that. [Maybe because our site is now dyfunctional]. I finally watched my Harry Potter 3 VCD. I thought some of the scenes were deleted. You know, the part where this professor gave Hermoine this gadget to turn back time? That part that she wanted to talk to Hermoine about the subjects she was going to take that term? I think it's missing. It was in the movie but it's missing in the VCD!! I bought it in Singapore's HMV!!! What's happening???

::note1::
I have so much to say! Or rather, so much to complain. I was just browsing through Friendster just now, glancing at other people's profiles. And I was appalled to see that so many people actually don't read. When asked to fill in the blank about their favourite book, most of them wrote "sorry, the word 'book' don't existin my dictionary. What's that?" or "no books please" or "i don't read"or "not interested in books". That's rather sad. What is so bad about reading anyway? Ok, I think I sound exactly like a geek. Not trying to say that not reading is a crime, just thinking about the idea that not many Singaporeans like to read. Sigh---
And I also want to warn you people out there: NEVER SHOP AT COURTS!! It totally sucks. The service is so damn lousy. The sales people are all lazy asses [well, not all] and they look down on kids [like me]. BAH!!! And they sell everything at exorbitant prices. AND still dare claim that they are so confidant of their low price that they are willing to refund the difference should you find a cheaper price elsewhere. And they are so trying to cheat our money. They even want to withholdthe freebies that they promise us!!! Okay, I may seem to be greedy for such petty stuff, but they promised it!! DAMN THAT BLOODY COMPANY!! I shall change allegiance to Harvey Norman from now on.
And I just realise that good friends are so hard to find. All those thatwere my buddies during secondary school days are now growing so distant! Well, not all, but most of them. And I find it impossible to make really good friends with my current classmates. So when we graduate, it's most likely 'bye bye and I shall never see you again!'. Primary school pals? Getting distant too. Maybe I took them for granted. SIGH!---
Even Blogger is getting on my nerves for being so popular that I have to write this entry in my notepad first before transferring it there. Not forgetting the problem Chinese Orchestra is posing to me. I am just so lousy with music. But everytime I think of my friend who suffered so much before finally making it to Band Major, I feel like striving on.
Well, there are good things happening as well. I sound awfully pessimistic in this entry. My cousin just got married. Another one is getting married this Sunday. Good for me. I get to eat again. But the wedding dinner I went to yesterday was quite an unnerving experience because we were the last to arrive and everyone was waiting for us. All my father's fault. When it was time for us to leave, he still insisted on sweeping the floor!! Can you believe it?? And as a result, we not only snatched all the 'limelight', we couldn't sit together as a family because people just sitted anywhere they pleased. Caught up with some relatives. Some cousins really changed quite a lot. Now they all look so pretty and smart. And some of the guys even had their arms around another girl. Man, how times have changed. Hopefully they get married soon!! WAHAHAHAHAHA!! And another good thing is that my father finally got a digital camera for the family. It's thePanasonic Lumix FX7. FINALLY!

::new layout::
I think many people is going to have this skin since it is the top rated one at blogskins. But I can't be bothered to search for skins. So here is it. For those who managed to even read this, good for you. For those who can't: they won't be able to read this anyway. Pink is getting boring. But changing the entire colour scheme will kill me. This new layout is kind of confusing. If you want to view my archives, you need to click the month and it will load and show u a blank, pink page. Click the picture above the word 'blog' to view the entries of the month you have selected. To post a comment [not the one in the tagboard], you need to click 'view comment'. It will load and give you that blank pink page again [or in some cases, another page in my site]. Click 'blog' and it will take you back to the blog page, but this time there will be a new link saying 'post a comment'. Click that to post a comment. To get back the all the entries, well, type in the address the URL of my blog. And sometimes, there will be some problems with the archives links and perhaps others as well. So I thought it would be better to spell everything out here in case people say I have a lousy layout. Bloody hell! The title is gone again!!! Urgh. I am beginning to think that this really is a lousy blog.
::henna::
Went out with my primary school friends today. I have not seen them in ages. Well, as we walked past Citylink, I thought I saw my classmate. But I wasn't very sure if it was her, so I just walked away. She appeared to be staring at something in the distance. Anyway, we went to the arcade after my friends have eaten. I have not been there in for years already. It wasn't exactly very fun, I didn't know why I like to go there so often in the past. And I got myself a tattoo!! [Wow! A person like me actually got a tattoo?!] Ok, it's not the one that they prick this needle into your skin. It's henna. Some herb mashed into a dark, thick substance which is applied on the skin. I paid $5 for it. Well, I did some research on digital cameras today. Not those types for professionals. So now it's a tie between the Canon Digital Ixus i5 and the Panasonic FX7. The latter is more expensive. But it's got this really good feature that corrects the blur caused by hand shake. So which one??
::notes::
Please set your encoding to Unicode or else the tables look weird. And there seems to be something wrong with the positioning of the tagboard. Sometimes it's by the side, sometimes it's way at the bottom of the page. And anyway, I finally saw Ayumi's new album cover!! Saw it in the fan site. But the official site has not even posted the cover yet. So I was wondering how did the webmaster of the fan site know about the cover. The album will have 17 songs! Yay! Can't wait for it to be released!
::where's my tagboard?::
Yes, it's back! But where is it? If you search harder, you might just find it!

::CIP::
Went to the library to do voluntary work today. It was a new experience for me. Tiring job, you know. I stood for at least 7 hours shelf-reading the books. And after sometime I got cynical and hoped that no one would touch those books after I arranged them. I can't help it, you know. Imagine all your hardwork wasted. Anyway, I was posted to the Arts and Cookery section. The Arts section was okay because it wasn't exactly the most popular section. I doubt many Singaporeans are interested in arty stuff anyway. But the Cookery section was terrible. The books were all messed up and in the wrong shelves and I had to carry the thick, heavy piles of books here and there. And every few minutes later, it would get messy again. And people just place their books anywhere. They just cannot bring it back to it's original position or even just drop it in these metal boxes where the books would be returned later. Imagine finding a Women's magazine in the Cookery section. I get really mad you know. Had to walk far away from my section to place it back. And the exact location is not easy to find either. Now I know why librarians always are so grouchy. We were required to borrow 4 books. So I borrowed this Garfield book [not comic] illustrating Garfield's history. There were some comic strips inside. And they were extremely funny. Jim Davis's really talented. Maybe I will post it here sometime later.

The hotel lobby. You actually need to take a queue number to check in!
All these are taken in the lobby. It's really very very big.
This was taken from the hotel room. I thought it was really nice.
Taken from the cable car. Really low quality due to the zoom and the dirty glass panel.
The cable car!
My sister took this nice photo of the view outside the cable car. She took many more, but this is the nicer one.
Now this is me! 艺术照!
This is one big fat plastic duck. My father was like standing under it and rubbing his head, saying:" Aiyah! Any shit drop on my head a not ah??"
Took this at night. [DUH] It's the name of the hotel we stayed at.
We went to the theme park the next day.
This was one hack of a cool ride! You can feel the wind blowing against your face. And it gets really cold. I recorded a video of the whole ride as well.
This how our hotel looks like from the outside. Really colourful, isn't it? But the mist sort of spoiled it.
This is the huge coke can!
The cockshrew was closed. Didn't manage to ride it. Pity.
This is how the theme park look like from above. Took it from the Ferris Wheel. It's not the largest in the world, but definately larger than that minute one in Escape. My sister was scared throughout the whole ride. She was afraid that the whole thing might overturn and was ordering me to side opposite of her so it will not be unbalanced.
Look at the square on the bottom right. For goodness sake, who is the right mind would want to stand like that?! It's the flume ride mind you. That fellow might just fly off the the 'boat' comes down. Anyway, the flume ride there was really very lousy. The handle was all in the wrong places. It was horizontal, not short veritcal ones like those in Escape. So when the boat was going up [the incline was almost vertical] we had a hard time struggling to grip onto it or else we would slide down the sit and hit the back of the boat and heaven know's what will happen to us. So we were most afraid of the climb, not very much the descend. In fact, we were hoping that the boat would plunge down as soon as possible. And also, the ascend was such a bloody short distance only!!! And the whole interior of the boat was wet and flooded, when we came out, our shoes were soaked and [of course] our whole body was wet. And the cold weather made it worse.
Here's how the theme park look like at night. It's not that my camera is lousy [you can see that it's quite foggy], but it's the mist. It's so thick, it's really terrible. We took the cable car from our hotel area to the theme park at night. I tell you, it was a really horrid experience. When gondola moved out of the 'pick up' area, there was nothing you could see. Just nothing! Only a tinge of orange due to the lights below. It's like you have no idea where you are heading. And there are no lights in the gondola. I thought that was quite stupid. Anyway, my sister was so afraid, she kept holding onto the hand bars and grumbling about why the cable car had to stop in the middle to let us admire the view. The cable car station in the themepark was deserted. Nobody was there except 2 ride operators. And it was still terribly misty. The perfect location to shoot those scary movies. It was terrible quiet as well. And when you walk along the pathway, you can't really see far. So there's this eerie feeling. And somehow I would keep my eyes peeled for who was coming in front. It's like someone emerging from the depths. At first you could only see the silhouette and then after a while the whole person emerges. Like in the movies, you know? And it was rather cold at night. We took the rollercoaster ride and that was the second time in my life that I could feel my teeth and knees knocking against each other. And I really sympathise with those ride operators. There's hardly anyone and they have to sit at their stations, waiting for someone to come. And for some rides, hardly anyone would dare to take because it was so dark and misty. So they were like alone and everything in the cold.
Anyway, we left after awhile.
And I think the carousels there are really pretty.
No? Well, anyway, after the all the playing, we went to eat at this Karaoke place. Something like KBox [though I have never been there]. And anyway, my mom was the only one singing. My sister and I were only interested in the MVs. And we had a hard time figuring out how to get the original singer's voice to come out. Went to watch The Incredibles for the second time after that with my parents. My mom really liked it. Said it was very very meaningful and was the best movie she ever watched her entire life.
Took this the next morning in my room. Really nice isn't?
And this is how our beds looked like. The room was really small. The toilet and shower area was seperated and only one person could fit inside the lavatory. It's like the toilets in the planes. Really really small. And the sink is located outside the toilet. And the TV set was small as well. Everything was small. Anway, we went down to Kuala L. today. A friend came to fetch us. Her house was damn big, I am telling you. And they have 4-5 cars? Even the chauffer wears a Rolex. And he's one smug arsehole. Walk around the entire estate half naked. 真是自以为了不起。看了就讨厌!不是我夸张,是真的很puke puke!! I think he looked down on us. Just because you have been driving for rich people all your life don't mean you can look down on other not-so-rich people. It doesn't mean you are rich as well! Arsehole!! Curse you!! 根本就是狗眼看人底吗!!Please excuse me. I cannot help it. CURSE YOU!!!!! Anyway, we went to Suria KLCC. There's this science centre like thing there, so we went. Stayed there for around 5 hours? Cool place to be. Lots of exhibits. Brought quite a lot of VCDs as well. Took a photo of the image made by the mirrors. Cool eh? And this is another interesting looking photo:
There's this machine where you can play goalie and keep the balls out. And there's a trick to it. You just have to stand in front of the camera and you can save all the goals. My sister did just that. She cheated her way into the top 10. Her picture is still there I guess. OMG. The screen looks like that:
And here's the famed Petronas Twin Towers! I took that photo! WAHAHA!
The drive back to Genting was terrible when we were near the top. The mist descended and road conditions became really bad. But it was an awesome experience! Anyway, we were leaving tomorrow afternoon. Went to eat Tim Sum 点心 at 阿一鲍鱼the next morning. Look at the food!
Can you see what's there? It's a piece of the 烧卖 (prawn dumpling). And I also went to Starbucks and got a new mug. Nice nice. Haha!
::the multiverse::
Can you imagine how
HUGE the universe actually is? No? The size of our universe is so big, it's almost infinite. Well, there's this new theory that states that our universe isn't just big, it's
one of many. Wow! That is so cool!!! You can read more about it in the August 2003 issue if National Geographic [okay, so I am kind of outdated].
Anyway, Taufik won!!!! Didn't realise he was a good singer yesterday. [Oops.] And by the way, I am getting sicker and sicker day by day after almost finishing the whole packet of dried mango and eating some deep fried squids. AHHH. And it's aggrevated by me staying late nights doing my math homework and other stuff. That's why I have not blogged for so long [3 days?] since I came back from Genting, Malaysia.
I was actually thinking of writing about my trip there. But there's just so much to say. So maybe I will just post some photos. And, uh, I finally got Harry Potter 3 and Mean Girls!!! And there's this really nice Japanese Movie: Umizaru. About coast guards and diving. But not sure if it's still showing. Catch it if you have time!
And I realised that my teeth have straightened albeit since the last time!
This was the photo taken on the day after I had my braces on.
And this one was taken during my trip to Genting last week.
See the changes? Not very drastic. But wait till you see this. It's taken today.
Well, I know it's kind of gross, but it's really interesting to see how it changes.
