::argh:: Oops. Forgot to blog yesterday. Well, it really isn't forget. It was just plain laziness as usual. Now I have second thoughts about having a blog. It's so troublesome. So what did I do yesterday? Went surfing the net to find out how much fats there is in a regular fast food joint. Came upon the KFC site and they have recipes! I printed out the Kentucky Biscuits recipe and decided to try baking them. All the ingredients are available in my house so I didn't need to buy them. I was afraid to try baking the biscuits cos all my cooking experiments flopped. The home economics practical test was THE cooking disaster. The rice and stuff were popping out of the pan like popcorn and the teacher was there glaring at me. I was like "my goodness!" and was trying desperately to salvage the situation but well, it was irrevisible. I did everything by myself, occasionally consulting my mom about the thickness of the batter and whether sugar can be seived. She did some changes to the mixture and helped with the fire and TADA!!! The biscuits were my 1st successful attempt!! They were quite plain though. Could use more sugar. This reminds me of chemistry. I was really silly to buy a whole new set of test tubes just because I forgot to bring mine today. Damn. Money wasted. It costs $8.50!!! Plus the goggles, the total cost is $12. My money is gone once again. There's this economics tutor who gave us comments on this particular question today. She is such a (how should I put it?) cute little girl. I mean, all the economics teachers look like, speak like and behave like some tai tai. She's the odd one out. Never seen her before. My friend was saying she must be 19 years old only. Have to see this economics head tomorrow. Damn. Cos I happen to fail the JCT. The PW teacher gave us our comments today. I didn't appear to have done exceptionally well, jus acceptable. Got my sister to come to MPH with me. (It was after much urging though. She's such a lazy pig.) Got my friend her birthday present and my sister bought this Singapore VS Malaysia book. I was quite disgusted about her taste. It's such a gross book and seems to be degrading our country. I realised that Singaporeans really live on 4D. It's stupid that they even buy the numbers which indicate the day Mr Lee Hsein Loong is going to take over as PM. I bet foreigners will laugh their heads off if they know about this. What a disgrace. posted by rychie at 8:43 PM Saturday, July 17, 2004 ::armed reaction:: Well well well. Must say that I started the day quite productively. Finished the homework that I had meant to do in the early afternoon. Actually I wanted to go to Kinokuniya today. But as usual, I was too lazy. My sister happened to be watching armed reaction and I decided to watch it instead of going out. Maybe I'll go to Kinokuniya tomorrow after I finish my physics homework. Told myself just now that I should look through the textbook as well. Wonder if I really will do it tomorrow. I really should change my shit-ass attitude if I want to pass my promos. It's like coming so soon. Watched armed reaction with my sister. I am sort of addicted to it. Actually I should be watching it now instead of writing this. But I felt the need to reflect on my doings. Didn't buy the apple pie my sister wanted. Hopefully I will get it for her tomorrow. Wonder how she is going to survive next week with only $2 after returning me the money she owes. Damn. Am I really that bad? posted by rychie at 10:50 PM Friday, July 16, 2004 ::kimi janakya dame de:: So it's finally Friday. Our ex-class chair (being a counsellor) went to give commands to the school today. I guess he was kind of nervous as he seemed to have remembered his commands wrongly. Worst still, there was something wrong with the mike stand and he had to spend quite a lot of the adjusting it. The whole school was waiting for him to say the pledge then. I would have died from the embarrassment. We had a mini economics test on oligopoly today. I didn't really study for it. Just roughly read through the notes yesterday. The questions were easy if you had studied. Luckily I did some last minute revision or I would have most likely failed miserably. The teacher said this test is a test of our attitude towards econs right now. She said she is going to show our results to our parents during meet the parents session. Well, by all means! My parents know I hate the subject and my lousy attitude towards it anyway. She made us do a survey about our economics lectures, tutorials et cetera. Well, she kind of asked for it when she wanted to tabulate the results in her presence. Most us who agreed that tutorials were useless and all. She appeared rather disappointed. Oh well. The chinese teacher did not turn up for lessons again. I wonder what are we learning at all during chinese lessons. We missed quite a lot of classes and our command of the language didn't improve or anything. What's the point in studying that subject when the teacher is always misssing anyway? Skipped chemistry today to interview this psychologist. He was kind of difficult. There were some questions when he did not answer to the point and bombarded us with our own questions. Some of the things he said caught us off guard. Luckily we got some important infomation from him or else it would have been a wasted trip. Went to watch Mean Girls today. A really funny and realistic movie. The girls behind me was making a lot of noise throughout the entire movie. Irritants. Some people really have very irritating high pitched laughter. Feel like asking them to shut up. They laugh at the wrong times and everything. Next week's my friend's birthday. Still thinking what to buy for her. Argh. Monday is coming. The terrible feeling is going to come back again. My sister was coughing away just now. I though she was going to vomit on her bed or something. Thankfully she didn't. Looks like many people are sick nowadays. So am I considered as one of those to have a good immune system? Still considering if I should go donate blood. Clock finally fixed. Monday. posted by rychie at 11:55 PM Thursday, July 15, 2004 ::bear spirit?:: Bear Spirit Calls To You ~ Bear is spirit keeper of the West, the place ofdarkness, maturity and good harvest. How true are these things anyway? I am reminded of my Big5 Test. I didn't know I was such a rotten egg before. posted by rychie at 7:17 PM ::the so called 1st post:: Well, today's Chinese class is most interesting cos the teacher asked us to follow the instructions (in chinese) and fold the paper frogs. It was quite difficult and I took a long time to figure out how to fold it. The guy who taught us how to fold the paper frog happen to know how to fold a T-rex. Naturally, the girls were fascinated and asked him to teach them. It was difficult to make. You need 2 pieces of paper to fold the T-rex and in the end it was incomplete cos lesson's over. GP today was boring. The teacher was in a foul mood and the class was dead. I knew he wanted to call me but he just can't remember my name. HA!! Well in the end he kind of remembered and call my name wrongly. I am used to such things, so it didn't bother me that much. I just smiled. It was raining so heavily this morning. The whole place was 'flooded' and my shoes and socks were wet. The counsellors were kind enough to ferry those poor stranded students without an umbrella from the bus stop to school. I had an umbrella but it was spoilt and I was drenched. Darn. Forgot to bring my PW stuff. Got mom to bring it and she brought it for me. Am I touched! Oh well. The stupid clock is wrong as usual. My sister bought home a Welsh Corgi today. You don't expect that to be a real dog do you? The poor dog would be chased out of the home if it was a live one! My mom is doggiephobic. Ha! Welsh is from McDonald's actually. It's a small little cute soft toy. Just gave it it's name. It was really tough thinking a name for the doggie. Let's see some rejects: String, M, Bag, Rabbit Ears, Plastic Nose, Water, ChestHair(Mao)(the most obsence one so far, brought by my dear, creative sister). My sister decided to call it Welsh a.k.a Chestmao (Yuck). When am I going to get my poster framed anyway??? posted by rychie at 6:19 PM |
